The day started with only a very marginal forecast, but the wind picked up earlier than expected about an hour before high tide, so got the Synchro and 8.0m Strike out. Started off not even planing, but got plenty of light wind sail and board spinny things in, and for an 8.0m, the sail is surprisingly light in the hands. After about an hour, a dark line of cloud came into view from the SW, and this was the wind that had been promised. From now on, it was pretty much nicely powered up planing conditions all the time, and good gybing practice on the flat water after a bit of drag racing with the other guys that were out. A pretty good day, but not spectacular - at least it was sunny!
